Rock-A-Bye-Baby!!

I'm going to be an Aunt!!

My sister and her husband are expecting their first child in February!!  We are all so excited!  I can't wait to hold my niece or nephew and feel their little hand in mine!  I can't wait to spoil him or her with candy and toys then send them back to their parents!  I can't wait to babysit!  I can't wait to start planning the baby shower!!

This will be an amazing six months with many many adventures to come after!!

Grilled cheese, garlic bread, mac 'n' cheese, pasta.

If you asked me to cook you dinner, I would tell you to pick from the list above.  Those are the few things I feel confident cooking and know they will turn out edible.  Not a very big list.

In the event I may one day want to move out on my own and have kids to feed, my mom suggested I learn some new recipes.  We agreed I would cook dinner one night a week to get some practice.    Tonight was the first night.

For my first recipe, I decided to make Taco Pizza.  I am proud to say it was very simple and did come out edible!!  It did not have enough flavor, though.  I have to figure out a way to spice it up, if I make it again.

I am excited to look through cook books and online to find new things to try.  God bless our stomachs!!

It's About Time!!

After going back and forth between becoming a teacher, a writer, and working at a publishing company, 2 1/2 years after graduating college, I finally decided what I want to do with the rest of my life.....

I am going to get my Masters in Library Science and become a librarian!

As a librarian, I can still work with kids and share my love of books!  It's the best of both worlds!  Sources also tell me, it's a good field to get in to.

Now comes the hard part.  I first have to pass the GRE and pick the right program.  Focus mode has  commenced!
